PORT OF LA TERMINAL
with B+BA Architecture
Cruise Terminal
Area: 20k sqm
Year: 2024
Location: Los Angeles
Conceptually, the terminals are designed as a floating circular building, connected by bridges that overlook San Pedro, the Port, and the Pacific Ocean. The design is inspired by the iconic bridges/cranes of the Los Angeles Port and the principles of passive design, resource sustainability, and reduced carbon architecture. The project efficiently accommodates thousands of passengers and visitors daily. Designed with inherent flexibility, Harbor-Circle is conceived to serve cruise operations and also transforms into vibrant event spaces during non-ship periods. Moreover, it provides valuable community amenities, including a large, accessible waterfront rooftop park and an exhibit space, ensuring that the project contributes to the social and environmental fabric of the region.
